An Interesting Fast Paddle
First things first. I haven't played seriously with any other paddle other than the competition Joola line paddles. Joola has a specific touch and feel to their paddles that is different than any other paddle. After the Gen3 Joola fiasco I went looking for a new paddle and two of my friends are big time CRBN fans. I feel more comfortable with the thinner paddle cores, having previously played with 14mm and didn't think the 12mm would play that different. It does. This paddle is wicked fast in the air with hands battles and when you connect just right on an overhead or forehand volley you can blister the ball. Because of the 12mm core this paddle slices through the air and you will need to spend some time figuring out your timing for your shot mechanics. It's deceptively quicker than you think. One of the biggest things I'm learning about this paddle is that your back swing must be non-existent or your shot will suffer. This is especially true on volleys and counterattacks at the kitchen line. The same is true for third shot drives. You can whip through the ball with this paddle and if you like forehand drives rapid fire this is the paddle for that. One of the biggest concerns I had about the paddle was the touch and reset ability. Would this paddle be too thin and I'd be popping balls up left and right? Surprisingly no. I have a two handed backhand for drops, resets and dinking. This is the first paddle where it felt 100% natural and preferred to use two hands. One handed backhand resets feel a little rough but that's not my style. The spin on this paddle is great too. I can have a lot of fun trying goofy spin shots trying to shape the ball and when game time happens I have confidence in my spin. One of the most interesting shit selections I found with this paddle is that it feels like the paddle wants to just go. Go fast at all times. The best example of this is the hybrid drop-drive shot on the forehand and backhand. It's really easy to do with this paddle. I will say that this paddle isn't for new players. Most likely to thin, the paddle speed of knifing through the air too quick, and the sweet spot is small. You can definitely tell when you don't hit it. And if you take too big of a back swing it is a noticable difference in lack of power because you start over swinging to compensate. Overall, I'm having a ton of fun with the paddle though!

CRBN Thomas Wilson
Paddle was shipped quickly and was super pleased once I received it. The paddle is amazing. The grit on this paddle is crazy and the spin I’m able to generate is nuts. The power and pop on this thing are top notch and I have not struggled with the touch on this paddle either. I would recommend this paddle for an intermediate to advanced player all day.
