Meet Andrei Daescu

Before pickleball, Andrei Daescu was already a world-class competitor. A Division I All-American at the University of Oklahoma, he went on to play professional tennis for five years, climbing to No. 120 in the world in doubles and representing Romania in the Davis Cup and at the 2015 US Open. He discovered pickleball in 2017 and quickly turned that tennis pedigree into dominance on the PPA Tour. Daescu has since won MLP championships with the Orlando Squeeze (2023) and the Columbus Sliders (2025), stacked up multiple PPA doubles titles, and built a reputation for a commanding net presence and elite doubles IQ. Today he's ranked inside the top 5 in men's doubles on the PPA Tour, and he plays it all in CRBN Pickleball gear.
